I have seen many bloggers who leave blogging in a month or two. When I ask them reasons 99% of them say that they did not find fruitful and got nothing out of blogging, of course the 1% had their own unique reasons like no time, money etc. I would like to mention something here to all the people who fall under the 99% category, blogging is not an easy one to win on the first day or month as it needs intensive hard work through a consistent period. If you are passionate about blogging and want to earn a good reputation to your blog then start blogging. Of course you can make money from blogging but that is not possible in the first week or first month, it even needs years to make money. Work towards the long term goal and do not care about the present blog traffic. To keep it simple, just blog! Blog! Blog!
If you are worried about the Traffic and the number of Page views you are getting then here is a simple way to increase both. Follow it continuously for months and see the difference,
Pillar Articles: (1 Hour a day)
Pillar articles are also called as linkbaits or Killer articles. This is the first thing that you must do every day at your convenient time. What are pillar articles? Pillar Articles are nothing but well researched big articles on a particular topic. All that you need to do is to decide on a topic and start working on it daily for an hour. You can publish these kinds of killer articles once in a week or once in ten days. Just research and write one hour daily which will give you a very big article after a week. Write a detailed analysis of the topic and make these articles. Some of the titles you can make can be like,
“100 Best Doctors in California”
“100 Best Site Designs in the web”
Normal Articles: (30 Minutes a day)
Killer articles alone cannot increase your traffic or page views as you need Normal posts as well, Of course no post is a normal post. Normal articles are nothing but a small but useful thing for your readers. It can be anything like news or tips or tricks or just post anything which will make your readers interactive or conduct polls or anything that can be useful for your loyal readers.
Spend 30 minutes from the 2 hours allocated for the Normal articles. Do not forget to post it daily as this can keep your readers ready for your Killer articles.
Promotions: (30 Minutes a day)
Last but not the least is the well known promotions as we all pretty well know that nothing can reach the audience without proper promotions. Spend 30 minutes a day to promote your Normal Articles and Killer Articles. There are many ways to promote articles but I would personally suggest doing some social bookmarkings, sharing the posts with your friends to tweet the post and blog commenting with the post URLs. If you feel that something else can also be used to promote then feel free to use it and do not forget to share it with us.
Again I would like to insist here that following the above ways cannot give you fruitful results if it is done for a month or two. It must be done consistently for atleast a period of 6 months to see the results live.
